a.k.a belle To Premiere “Mess You Up” Music Video

208 Music Video Show is pleased to announce a.k.a belle will premiere a new music video on Nov. 1st. for their new single “Mess You Up.”

You can view the “Mess You Up” video as part of the “Go Listen Boise and Ten Gallon Cat Present: a.k.a. belle, Calico and Woodwind at The Crux!” on Nov. 1st.

Catherine Crooks Merrick said the “Mess You Up” video is filled with “stop motion silliness.” “Mess You Up” is Catherine’s first music video.

This is a.k.a. belle’s 2nd music video. “For A Fool” took 1st Place at the 2011 208 Music Video Show. It was a stop motion painting by Shasta Nash.

Obviously 208 Music Video Show encourages you to attend the Nov. 1 event to see the “Mess You Up” music video and enjoy a.k.a. belle’s live performance.  AND (I could be wrong but it’s my understanding) those attending will also receive a digital download code for the “Mess You Up” single available for FREE that night only!

Soooo exciting!

Some other tidbits of a.k.a. belle interest:

“Once again, it occurred to me that the touch of jazz in this group’s sound helps make it a bit sexier than your average Americana acts.”

The musical  project a.k.a. belle is a collaboration with Catherine, Sam, drummer Louis McFarland and Chris Galli on bass to create the “Magic Four.”

Catherine Crooks Merrick and Sam Merrick have worked with or supported some famous names: Curtis Stigers; Doug Martsch; John Doe & Exene Cervenka from the LA band X; Iggy Pop; Elizabeth Cook; Holly Golightly…just to name a few.
